Privacy Center
Give individuals one place for everything related to privacy: notices, preferences, rights requests, and request status.
The Privacy Center is a public hub page you design in Neostra and publish to your website. It does not author content itself. Instead, it links out to the pages you have already built elsewhere: privacy notice pages, DSAR intake forms, and consent preference centers, so a visitor has one place to find all of them. The module's menu has a single item, Privacy Center.
Create a center
Go to Privacy Center and add a new center with a name, description, the languages it supports, the brands it belongs to, and optional tags. Each center is a separate public page, so you can run one per brand or region. English cannot be removed from a center's language list.
Opening a center shows six tabs: Details, Builder, Embed Script, Language Settings, Translation Table, and Published Versions.
Build the page
The Builder tab is where you design the page. Everything you change here is stored as a draft until you publish.
Layout. Choose one of three layouts: Tile (a grid of cards), Left Menu (a sidebar list of sections), or Tab (horizontal tabs).
Header. Turn the header on and set its height and background colour, then fill the left, centre, and right slots with either text or your logo. Text carries its own colour, weight, size, and an optional link, and is entered separately for each language the center supports.
Banner. Turn the banner on and set its height and a colour or image background. An image background also takes an overlay colour and opacity. Add a heading, as text or a logo, and a sub-heading, each with its own alignment and per-language translation.
Sections. Sections are the entries visitors click on. Each section has a title and, for the tile layout, a description and an icon. A section is one of two types:

Sections are defined per language. When you pick a privacy notice or an intake form, the builder checks its supported languages against the languages the center offers, and warns you if the item is missing a language the center supports, so you can add the translation before a visitor lands on it.
Consent preference centers are not available as a Privacy Center section today. Attach a preference center to visitors through the cookie modal instead, and build its purposes and preferences under Preference Centers.
An external link is opened in a new browser tab when the layout is Tile. In the Left Menu and Tab layouts, an external link is instead loaded inline inside the privacy center page, so the linked site must allow being framed and must be served over HTTPS. If a site blocks framing, or is served over plain HTTP, its section will not display properly.
Languages and translations
Language Settings controls which languages the center offers and which one is the default. Selecting or removing a language here also updates the languages saved on the center's Details tab. English is always selected and cannot be removed.
Translation Table lists every text value from the header, banner, and sections side by side, one column per language, so you can fill gaps without opening the builder for each field. There is no automatic translation: every language version is written by hand.
Draft, publish, and discard
Changes in the Builder, Language Settings, and Translation Table are held as a draft until you click Save, and a center can have only one draft at a time. Discard Draft drops your unsaved changes and returns the draft to the last saved state.
Click Publish to make the current draft the live version. Before publishing, Neostra checks that every language the center supports has all its text filled in, and blocks the publish with a message if any translation is missing. Once published, a version is locked: it cannot be edited further. To make more changes, keep editing the same draft (or start a new one after publishing) and publish again.
Published Versions lists every version with who published it and when, marks the most recent one as current, and lets you preview any version, including earlier ones, without affecting what is live.
Publishing the Privacy Center and publishing a linked privacy notice or intake form are independent. Once a linked item is published, its updated content shows on the center immediately. You do not need to republish the Privacy Center for that change to appear.
Embed on your site
The Embed Script tab is available once the center has at least one published version. It gives you a snippet to place on your site: despite the name, the snippet does not inline the page's markup into yours. It places an iframe that loads your Privacy Center's public URL, along with a small stylesheet to make the iframe fill its container. Copy the snippet into your site's HTML, ideally just before the closing body tag, and give it to your developer. The embedded page always reflects the latest published version.
The visitor experience
A visitor opens the embedded Privacy Center without signing in. The page loads the latest published version and shows your header, banner, and sections in the layout you chose. If the center supports more than one language, a display language selector lets the visitor switch between them. From there, clicking a section takes the visitor to a privacy notice, opens an intake form to submit a rights request (see Privacy Rights Manager), or follows an external link, according to how you configured the section.
What is not included today
- Preference center links are not offered as a Privacy Center section type. Preference centers are reached through the cookie modal, not the Privacy Center. See Consent Management.
- Custom domains are not supported. The public page is served from your Neostra environment and embedded on your site with the snippet.
- There is no automatic translation. Every language version in the header, banner, and sections is written by you.
