Banners
Design reusable consent banners from a template: layout, consent model, languages, text, theme, buttons, behaviour, and publishing.
A banner is the visual design and wording a visitor sees: the layout, the consent model, the text in each language, the theme, the buttons, and how the banner behaves. A banner is reusable. Several collection points can serve the same banner, and one collection point can serve different banners to visitors under different regulations.
Banners do not reach a website on their own. A collection point selects a Default Banner and maps regulations to banners under Jurisdiction Rules. When you publish the collection point, Neostra takes the banner design as it stands in the builder at that moment and combines it with the collection point's categories, confirmed tracking services, attributes, and signals into the configuration served to the site. After changing a banner, publish the collection points that use it.
Open Consent Management > Banners. The list shows Name, Description, Brand, Regulation, and Created, with a search box and view and delete actions per row.
Your plan sets how many banners you can create. At the limit, Add New Banner is disabled and a tooltip asks you to contact the Neostra team. Deleting a banner is not available on the free plan.
Create a banner
Click Add New Banner. The drawer has two steps.
Template
Pick a starting point. Every setting can be changed later. Click Next, or Skip to start from the defaults.

Details
Enter a Banner Name (required, under 200 characters, unique), an optional Description, a Brand (Optional), and a Regulation (required). Click Create Banner. The builder opens on Edit Banner, where these details are shown and can be changed with Edit.
Only banners of the same brand as a collection point can be attached to it, so set the brand if you use brands to separate sites.
Draft, Save Changes, Publish, and Discard Draft
The builder header has three buttons. Edits stay in the browser until you click Save Changes, which stores them in the banner's draft. Publish becomes available once the saved draft has no unsaved edits. Visitors keep seeing the design that was in force when their collection point was last published.
Discard Draft asks for confirmation, then replaces your draft with the last published version. It cannot be undone and needs at least one published version to exist.
Template
Banner Layout controls how the first screen is presented: Banner - Bottom, Banner - Top, Modal - Center (an overlay with a backdrop), or Sidebar - Right (a slide-in panel).
Layer 2 Template controls the Customize Preferences view: Categories (an accordion of categories with expandable services), Services (a flat list of services grouped by vendor under each category), or Tabs (Categories and Services side by side).
Consent Model defines the default consent behaviour:

Button Set selects a preset: Full (Accept All, Reject All, and Customize), Opt-Out (Accept All and Reject All, no Customize), Minimal (Accept All only), or Custom, which hands control to the Button tab.
Language Settings
Under Select Languages, each language available to your account has a Select checkbox and a Default radio. Tick the languages the banner should offer and choose one default; the default must be a selected language, and at least one language stays selected. Adding a language creates empty text fields for it. The Translations tab appears in the menu only when more than one language is selected. These languages also drive category and service translations on the collection point.
Text
Default Text Content holds the wording in the default language, split by screen.
Layer 1, the first screen: Banner Text, Accept Button Text, Decline Button Text, Customize Button Text.
Layer 2, the detailed view: Title, Description, Save Text, Cancel Text, Required Text, Optional Text, Customize Description, Purpose Label, Host Label, Duration Label.
Each field shows placeholder wording, and an empty field is outlined in orange as a reminder.
Translations
A Translation Progress bar shows the overall percentage completed. Under Languages, each additional language lists how many of its fields are filled and shows a check mark when complete. Select a language, and each field appears twice: the Default Language value on the left and the Target Language input on the right.
Publishing is blocked while translations are incomplete. Publish shows the message "Cannot publish: Missing translations for" followed by the language names. Complete every text field for every additional language, save, and publish again.
Theme
Under Theme Customization, THEME COLORS offers a colour picker and a hex field for Primary Color, Background Color, Text Color, Button Text Color, Accept Button Color, Reject Button Color, and Customize Button Color.
TYPOGRAPHY sets Font Family (Montserrat, Arial, Helvetica, Georgia, Times New Roman, Roboto, Open Sans, or Lato) and Border Radius (px) with a slider from 0 to 50.
Button
Button Configuration has a switch for each action: Accept All (accept every category with one click), Reject All (reject all non-essential categories), and Customize (open detailed preferences). When the Template tab uses the Full, Opt-Out, or Minimal preset, a notice explains that the preset controls visibility; switch the Button Set to Custom to manage the buttons individually.
Configuration
General Settings sets Layout Type and Position. Modal is always Center. Floating can be Center, Left, or Right. Fixed can be Top or Bottom. Changing the layout type resets the position to the first valid option.
Behavior
Interaction Settings has three switches:
- Close on Backdrop Click: lets the visitor dismiss a modal banner by clicking outside it. Neostra recommends leaving it off so visitors make an explicit choice.
- Show Close Button: shows a close control on the banner. The same recommendation applies.
- Show Floating Cookie Button: after the banner is dismissed, a persistent button in the bottom-right corner lets the visitor reopen their cookie preferences.
Settings
Under Appearance, Company Logo (optional) accepts PNG, JPG, or GIF up to 2MB, by drag and drop or browse. The logo is resized for display; use Change or Remove to replace it. Preference Center URL (Optional) adds a link to your preference center and must start with http:// or https://.
Live Preview
Most tabs show a Live Preview beside the form, rendering the current draft. Switch between Layer 1, the first screen, and Layer 2, the detailed view. Layer 2 uses placeholder categories and services; the real ones come from the collection point and appear in its own preview.
Published History
Under Published > Published History, Published Version History lists each publish as Version 1, Version 2, and so on, with the date and time and the publisher's name and email. The newest entry carries a Latest chip. A version is created each time you publish the banner. There is no rollback; to revert, change the design and publish again, or use Discard Draft to return to the last published version.
